  CHAMPS!!

Hi All,

Wow!! Great game!! I thought my nails couldn't get any shorter but realized they can when your son and husband are both pitching! Hats off to a great win and a great season!!

On to the players of the game which would have to go to all of the kids as it takes a team and a team effort to win the championship! I was so busy watching the game that I didn't make very many mental notes on each great play. So, as my final team email- I just wanted to jot down a few departing words to all of "my" kids! (: I guess I should l put it in batting order- if I can remember the batting order correctly.

  • Nelson- You filled some very tall orders this year! You pitched, played catcher, and of course never let us down on second base! You never ceased to amaze me with all of your hits and your base running was right out of Sports Illustrated! Back to Back to Back. You can't get any better than that! Hail to the king!
  • Trey- You always came up big right when we needed you! (Especially with that home run last night) I still love your hair- don't ever let Coach Scott give you a haircut! You gave 100% and did it with a smile- another back to back to back guy! That is unheard of in Peewee- your mom and dad should be so proud!
  • Aaron- A man of few words but powerful talent! You came into pitch when we needed you most and you came up very big. You held all the opposing teams to limited bases with your heads up fielding and your on the target throws! I wish you the best on your journey to Colorado and hope that you will not forget us Wildcats! You are certainly unforgettable in my mind!! Best of luck big guy and we will miss you!
  • Nathan- I've said it before, I will say it again- You are indescribable! Thanks for pulling it out on the mound last night! It is easy to forget that you are only 8 as you look like a little man out there! I, for one, would hate to be on the other side versing you! Super job this season!! You are THE MAN!
  • Zack- Always hard to comment when its your own. He improved his batting by the end of the season and I must say- that is the best bunt I have seen all season. You really know how to keep the crowd in it, Zack! -and also know how to pull at my heart strings! (Mom loves you!)
  • Ian- You are a slugger! I loved to watch you bat this season! As one of your biggest fans, you always had me on the edge of my seat because I knew that when you connected it would be out of here!! I hope you didn't have to miss too many camping trips because of the season! As a Back to Back to Back champion, you have definitely got bragging rights at your next camp out with the troop! Good for you!
  • Andrew- You had an awesome season! I kept telling your mom to watch the opposing coaches as every time you came to bat they would say, "Four Back"! You gave it everything you had this season and then some! It takes some quality character to not only practice a whole new skill at baseball but to get out there on the pitchers mound and throw it in there! I am so proud of you!
  • Collin- I was telling your mom and dad last night, you were not only our star catcher but came up big in the hitting department this season!  You met your goal this season by catching a foul tip ball! Good for you for setting a goal and reaching it in one season. For some, it takes a lifetime to reach some of their goals! High five buddy!!
  • Nicky- I believe you might be the youngest on our team! But, who would have guessed it? You came up big in the outfield with so many plays but my favorite memory is your debut at pitcher! You took that challenge and rolled with it! Remember, I said- Roll out the red carpet! I guess you will be coming back to Peewee next season and I promise- we will come by and watch you! Keep taking your juice plus- it does a body good! (:
  • Alex- You had a huge clinch hit last night to keep us batting. Good for you! You have worked so hard on your batting and all that hard work really paid off when we needed it most! I guess you will be in Peewee again next season too and I plan on stopping by to get a bag of peanuts and catch a few of your big plays that I know you will have next season! Your parents must be so proud!
  • Artie- Last but definitely not least! You have to get the award for most improved this season. I loved cheering you on as you took your bow at first base. Your song was my favorite on the team CD! I played it over and over again. You gave us all a lot to smile about this season and your smile just said it all out there! As always, you are a gem! Don't ever change!!

Well, I guess that wraps it up for the Spring 2005 Peewee baseball season. I won't know what to do with myself come next week with no games to go to and no snack to worry about! (: I am lucky to have had such an outstanding group of parents, grandparents, and fans to stand with at the park and I am proud to say WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIENDS!

WAY TO GO BLUE!!

Michele
